Summer Institute
OACAC Summer Institute is intended for new admission counselors having from 0-11 months of experience. The three-day, two-night event typically includes professional development sessions on topics such as the admission cycle, travel season tips, professionalism in the workplace, and ways to ensure your effectiveness as a new counselor. You will have the opportunity to meet new counselors from Ohio and other states who you may see during your travel season, admission representatives from various Ohio and surrounding states’ universities serving on the Summer Institute committee, and experienced admission representatives who will act as your mentors through boot camp and beyond. All work and no play make admissions boot camp no fun, so social events are scheduled to help you unwind and connect with other participants.
Boot camp will be held August 1-3, 2010 at Ashland University.
