About the Role

Advise prospective student and others regarding program offerings and admissions requirements. Plan and conduct extensive recruiting activities at designated secondary schools, college fairs, and community colleges.

Essential Functions:

  • 60% Territory Management - planning and coordinating high school visits and attending college fairs within an assigned geographic travel territory; interaction with school counselors; students and family members. Continued communication with prospective students via direct mail, phone, and e-mail.

  • 15% Conduct daily/Saturday Admissions information sessions, and campus tours as needed with prospective students and family members.

  • 10% Serve as liaison with academic and student services areas as assigned.

  • 10% Assist with coordination of Admissions recruitment and yield events.

  • 5% Other responsibilities as designed.

Compensation: Compensation for this position is $45,500.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a higher education, recruitment, or youth centered environment. Knowledge of university program offerings and admissions process. Knowledge of personal computer and mainframe use in student information systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate with diverse audiences.

Preferred: Experience working in Admissions as a student assistant, graduate assistant, or admissions counselor.
